Default your opinion on jun cams....

im sure almost all of you have heard of jun cams. no doubt they are good cams. But i have heard that the jun stage 3 cams are too aggresive for the "daily driver". Something about the dynamic compression i think i remember hearing. what do you guys think is a good setup for a dialy drive / weekend carver.

Depends on what you mean by 'daily driver'

I would definitely be at least 11:1 compession with JUN 3's and a fully built head. I know a few who is rolling around on the weekends, and sound mean as hell.

But there are those who bitch about rough idle and such and are not that hardcore.

Just depends.

jun type 3's are pretty aggressive. i have them (daily driven) and i love them. They give the idle a nice rumble so to warn potential contenders, but the idle is not too rough. They make really good power. i have about 20,000 miles on mine and they dyno numbers are still the same. As far as i am concerned they are the best cam on the market!! You must you the full valvetrain , but it is very worth revving to 9500 and beyond.Jun stuff is a little expensive , but it is not a downfall because you definetly get what you pay for. They love compression , but should work fine with stock pistons.you may want to put a thinner head gaSKET ON????if you got any questions Im me
