Trans swap!!!
I have a 2000 gsr and plan to make it a street/circuit car now what would be the best transmission for that.
1. stock gsr trans with LSD
2. Civic si trans
3. Civic si trans with LSD
4. type R trans
i have heard that the Si transmission has great gear ratios, with an LSD could it be better than a type R trans.
P.S. what is a good aftermarket LSD for any of those trans

the si/b16 is the same gearing as the type r, just no lsd and the type r comes with some stronger internals. quaiffe and kaaz i hear make good lsds. also obx makes one that i hear is pretty good. i think you should be the guinea pig and try it out for us.
might wanna look into a 4.7 final drive while you're at it.

no the b16 with a type r lsd would be the exact same thing as a type r tranny. not stronger internals or anything. if i were you i would just find a type r tranny

uhhhh, someone correct me if im wrong, but why would you want LSD on a track/circuit car? I understand if its a drag car then LSD would be ideal.
LSD would make cornering a bitch.
LSD = Positive traction, equal power to both drive wheels weather turning or going straight.
...mabey i've been sniffing too much gasoline?

They both 4.4
They both 4.4
I have a B16 tranny with a KAAZ LSD... it's awesome. The limited slip makes cornering alot better, it feels like you have complete control even while skidding.

yes, wayyyyyyyyyyy too much gas. This is completely wrong. lsd is ideal for circuit / auto x.

if your on team-integra you know michael delaney knows his ****. i go to T-I when i want to know good, correct info. however, we both think what we want so we'll leave it like that.
edit: i only read the first page but it clearly states theres no advantage with the type r tranny..... it says it a bunch of times....plus how do you know what to believe on the ht link. everyone has different views and i honestly dont listen to that bs unless they list a reputable source for their info...
