Get a obd0-obd1 jumper harness and a vtec obd1 ecu..(p28 is the best for d16z6)
And add a couple of wires for vtec..

or stay obd0 buy modifying a 88-91 HF/SI Dizzy to fit on the z6 head..and since you have a DX if u stay obd0 you need to get a different ecu to take advantage of the d16z6...(EX 88-91 civic/crx si ecu or 87-89 integra ecu..etc..)But then u would have to get a switch to activate vtec..

see if you can pick up an si tranny somewhere too, unless you
are working on a budget, your dx tranny will work fine too

see this is what the kid says in his sig

FS:
D16Z6 Full Swap, tranny, axles, IM, everything, NO ECU - $400

so all i would need is a ECU its out of a 93 civic so would it be a hydro tranny? and where could i buy an ecu on a TIGHT budget thanks to recently losing my job and my car keeps breaking

any 92-95 civic ex or si ecu (p28) will work Just make sure its a 5spd and not an auto ecu..Check ebay for deals or HT classifieds
All you really need from this guy is the motor/intake manifold..Cant use the tranny cuz its hydro and dont need those axles..

you can't use the hydro tranny, and for the ecu, you have to decide if your going to convert to obd-1 or stay non obd. then you can search for a ecu. either a pm6,pg7,or p28 something like that

EDIT: i guess mrspeaker is a faster typer than me
