right spark plugs for a mini-me
Use the same ones as the non vtec or get the one that belong on a 1.5L D15B VTEC. I felt that I lost rpm and efficency wih the d16z6 plugs. I say use NGK#ZFR5F-11 (92-95 CX/VX D15B8/D15Z1 civic) or NGK#ZFR6J-11 (92-95 JDM D15B VTEC). Don't use d16z6 plugs, they will not burn as efficient, lose rpm, and lose power. The reason is the 1.6L has a longer stroke, therefore, a slower spark is required. In a 1.5L, the stroke is shorter, therefore, a faster spark is required. I don't know if having a colder plug will make a difference, but from my experience, just because you use a d16z6 head, doesn't mean you use the plugs that came from that head. DO NOT use d16z6 spark plugs on a mini-me. For gaps, keep it under 0.39. I recommend you modify the tip of the plug to prevent denotation.
