black smoke when i go above 5500 rpms
i got a cloud of smoke that looks like vietnam comin out of my exhaust when i floor it and go over 5 grand....i KNOW im running and i just bought a fpr and it reads 51 on my 97 gsr motor........what should i adjust it to....i have skunk 2 mani, str tb, intake, 2.5 exhaust, stock ecu....should my fuel pressure still be stock?

do you have a fuel reg. if you do how high is it set at. if it is high it might be causing all that black smoke. some time too much fuel tends to make black smoke.

wow so rich. donald trump on 15's. put FP down to 39 (stock) and unplug the battery for like 3 mins. the ecu will adjust fuel from there. keep it gangstarr

thank you , by the way i have a 43 wet side turbo with intake side hot, you know what im talkin about phelps (elbows bildo in nose for no reason)

o i know exactly wuts wrong with your motor.. how bout this.. you give me your motor and you can take mine it runs perfect.. you have to throw in a little cash tho bharat

Yea you're running to rich like me.
Mine does that up in higher rpm too. Need to get it tuned by spring.
Hey look at the bright side. You can fly by someone and scream 'eat my smoke'! LOL
I did that last year to the ricers when i was messing around with my friends.

white smoke-coolant
black smoke- kearne spitting and/or running rich
blue smoke- oil

oh yes, and i broke that little red nipple with the pcv valve under the intake mani....have a hose clamped on it now, think i should put the pcv back on huh
