My Del Sol sounds like an aquarium
Recently i bought a '93 Del Sol, after my first wash i discovered that my car had become a wading pool, it seems the seal to the back window wasnt tight and water is collecting in the housing where the window sits when it goes down. I was wondering if anyone else was having similar problems and if they had any solutions. I was also wondering if the is a drain that may be clogged causing this.
After a while that will wear down and begin to break apart. Just go to a certified Honda Dealership and get the sealent. The rubber insulator, it will cover the passenger and driver side doors. The windshield and the rear window.
Yes, thats a very common problem for the del Sol's. You're going to need to get the window trim replaced, unless you know what you're doing I would try going to a reputible body shop. Also check the seals for the targa top, as they are notorious for leaking as well. Good luck
I think he is talking about the drain for the back window. It is in the slot that the window goes down in and it lets the water drain out. It can get clogged up over time. If you go to teamdelsol.com there is a how-to on cleaning it out.
