mount the dizzy right to begin with.

then check your compression. that will verify that your valve timing is correct...

well comes down too i did have it mounted right and it didnt move BUT..its running in my garage as we speak ..only thing i dont like is i dont know how. Im thinking its something to dow ith my dizzy because i bought a new one about 8 months ago why?? cause my last one had some prob and the car would shut off as i was driving and tach was crazy then would die at a light just like this and 20 min later would crank over and start..

I took each plug wire of and stuck a wire in it and jumped form the starter and would see if it had enough spark which they did, now sometimes it would be a weak crank then i would move the wrench some and BAM theres the power crank so im thinking mayeb the ground is jacked to my key ignition switch and isnt giving it the right amount of power..but when the battery is charged it cranks at a normal pace from the key..so im confused im not going to drive it no where till i figure out what it could be...it HAS to be the ignition system i know it...something in that new distributor..if it died then u just waited for a certain amount of time and tried again all the suden it works? bad ground or something...anyone else know?

There are 3, one is on the valve cover, there is one on the tranny and the third one is on the thermostat housing. Be sure they are all clean and tight.

well how bout a head gasket leak ..havent checked yet but im thinking its a good possibility. Number one sometimes i have a misfire when i idle i get one off and on posibly from moisture. Then my radiator has been losing water periodicly but doesnt overheat. and today i got it running just messing with the plug wires making them spark without a plug and all the sudden it wanted to start so i let it...went to run up the rpms and it choked..did it slow and it worked...tried again and choke choke pssst and ****** steam came out of my intake tube .... so im going to pull all my plugs and see if they are clean as hella from the steam if so then thats it but if not then i have no idea...crazy *** **** is going on with it..
