93 civic hatch..when gasing the car seems to vibrate a lot.what could be the reason?

 

Motor mounts?

 

rims not balanced anymore, tires wearing down, bad suspension component, motor mounts to weak to keep the motor from twisting...

 

bent axle, bent rim, motor mounts, loose wheel....

most likely an axle issue...

 

hey i have the same problem but mine is only on 1st gear after that its fine. And i have a LS swap in a 94 hatch but it could be the exhaust cuz the previous owner had a cheap exhaust install on it didnt have the time to replace it yet just got the car 2 weeks ago. About the motor mounts the engine dont seem to shake or rattle when i push up against it.

ive gotta 92 hatch with a ls swap.... i had the vibration @ higher speeds in 4th gear, then it went to third gear then to 2nd... then i was @ the track one night, left the hold around 5k and broke the axle. so look into it

 

If its only when you accelerate its most likely the axle.

 

thanks *slambedcivic* .. i'll check the axels. when i bought the car the guy told me the driver side CV boot is leaking but it wasnt all that bad, just a lil leak.

 

i had a friend with the same type of problem...but his was more along the lines of balanced tires and alignment...
