Default b16 swap for ef9

i just bought an ef9 for 1400 it runs good. but i want to swap a b series motor in. im about sure i want the b16a only downfall is with the cable tranny, which i can get over. what all do i need for this swap besides the motor? do i need to switch to obd1? im fairly new to honda-tech so take it easy on me. any help/comments/advice are good!

You dont have a EF9...You have a ED Just read your vin#..It'll say ???ED?????
If you have a DX then you'll need to convert to MPFI..
If you get a B16 SIR1 or XSI then you can stay obd0..
Need a B-series mount kit..(E.X. Hasport..HPC..Arizona Race,etc..)
You can either get a hasport b-series linkage or modifiy a linkage..
You have to add a couple wires for vtec and get an obd0 vtec ecu (pr3,pwo)..
You could always activate vtec through a switch but you're better off using the vtec ecu that will come with the swap..

There's alot more to the swap...
just search and check out the 2nd thread on top of the page.. Good luck

Mr speaker knows his ****

the only other main thing you need to complete the swap that he didn't mention is the axles..

other than that it's small time stuff:

EF is the JDM chasis code, which pretty much everyone goes by on this site. Notice the forum name too. They are just being ***** smugglers.

LS motor with a cable b16 or 92-93 gsr tranny is fun..
I dont dont like the b16 because it has no torque at all..Just my opinion though..

everybody's got a preference..

but the b16 outperforms the LS motor hands down.

i always felt that the extra 10 lbft you get with an LS doesn't really mean much when you're always looking at the rear bumper of everyone you race.
