Default Is it hard?

I want to swap a B16A into a 93 Teg shell. What I need to know is how hard this is for a person who knows a pretty good deal about engines, but has never completed a swap before? Can I do it in my garage afterschool and on the weekends?

P.S.- I searched but couldn't seem to find anything, because I'm sure this one has been asked before...

from what I have read, its not hard. Get a OBD-0 swap and it should bolt in(your previous engine being a B-series. All you really need is the engine and wire up VTEC and you will probably want a b16 tranny and ECU.

Actually, pick up an OBD1 B16 swap with cable transmission (92-93 Integra XSi/RSi) and it should be pretty straightforward..

I'd check with Hmotorsonline.com and see if they have one for your 92-93 Integra..

hey i never did a swap before and all i had ever installed was intake short shifter and spark plug oil changes, last month i decided to swap my motor let me tell you IT IS POSSIBLE AND NOT DIFFICULT if you follow the directions that some people suggest here or on c-speedracing.com

the one thing is that YOU WILL NOT finish it in the time that you think, if you think it will take 5 hours it will take 10, if you think it will take 3 days it will take 7, think you can do it in 2 weekends, it will take 4 weekends, get the drift lol

but ultimately you can do it and i dont see why ANYONE with decent understanding of how to remove a bolt and put it back on should PAY anyone to do a swap for them

so go for it, plan ahead, and BUY EVERYTHING ahead of time, change the clutch and flywheel, timing belt, water pump, while you are at it

it's not that hard, if you have all the (right) parts you need and a buddy to help you, you could do it one day. My friend did his swap himself and had to going back and forth to the store and lookin for parts, He took the head of like 5 times cause of oil leaks, but he did it with a week. So it's not that hard really
