Default Noob needs help!!!

I just got a 91 civic HB STD and I want to hook it up. I already installed clear corners, removed the carpet for some weight reduction, and installed a push button ignition. Now my friend tells me that for $350 he can install a VTECH chip and a type r computer which should be good for 20 hp. Should I have him do it for me, or should I save the money for a Mugun body kit and some 18's?

Wow you need to chill out, save your money and get a new friend that can install a B series motor. Chips and computers are going to be a waste of money for you on a STD hatch,
Also be prepared to be flamed cause I a lot people are going to call you a ricer for you ignition button, tearing our your carpet (which doesn't weight that much), etc... and to get the "HOOK UP" you may want to search on Honda-Tech before posting just some good tips for you to keep flaming to a min
But if I were going to do it I'd roll on 19" put a Canadian front end on it and a nice superbird wing on the back

I think you should take a deep breath and push yourself away from the computer. The very fact that you've installed clear corners, removed your carpet for weight reduction and installed a push button makes you look like you don't know what the hell your doing.

After you've taken your deep breath, come back and start to research more about your car. If your car is stock, it didn't come with a VTEC engine so a VTEC chip will do little to bump your car's performance. If your looking for speed, 18's aren't going to help.

Be sure to use this wonderful little feature we call a search before you ask questions.

Hey man, people are right, your really gonna get flamed for this one, but just to help you out a little bit and save some face, I used to be like that, what you want to do, is drop in a b series motor, get it performing nicely, then go ahead and do some looks, oh, and like the others said, use the nifty search feature!!
