No DB-related DQs at Summit this weekend!
I thought this was worth its own thread. From the NASA-VA website, posted today:
SOUND LEVELS: Although we will be taking sound levels throughout the weekend, it will only be for informational use for the drivers. No one will be disqualified for being above the sound limit for this particular race weekend, however, sound levels and disqualifications will be enforced starting with the 2005 race season.

While originally we were going to have to DQ drivers if they failed after one warning, Summit Point is helping out by allowing us to check sound levels for information for the drivers without disqualification. Also since sound was going to be monitored from the inside of the track, there was concern that drivers may be directing sound to the outside which would make the sound louder to the track's neighbors.
Any driver who exceeds the sound limit will have a notation next to their name on the results posted at the track.
This will be enforced for the 2005 season.
See everyone soon!
