Default CRX Si Seat Belt Question.

I just took apart each door and removed the plastic sheathing. I unbolted the door-mounted seat belt assembly and in doing so the amount of belt shortened because of the tensioner. Now it won't extend again. I haven't unbolted the passenger side and its still sliding out and in perfectly. I just can't get the drives side to slide out anymore. Any ideas what I should do I remedy this?

nope honda won't fix that, falls under abuse. If youlook there should be a clear plastic cap on one side of the tensioner. probably something in there is messed up

its normal. just put it back in upright and it will work normally. theres a g level switch, probably a mercury switch that when its not upright or moving it locks in place.

Agree with you Superbeastcrx, Honda dealer did mine for free, no questions asked, Converted you better go to another dealership, that is a lifetime replacement part they have to replace it as long as you haven't screwed with it
