I doubt your rims will ever get to 200 deg. Use ceramic engine enamel. It's good up to 500 deg.

I painted my rims with regular spray paint and it worked good.

A good sand blast, and some engine enamel should do the job.
If you got some extra money powder coat looks very custom.

clean them really well with degreaser (cheap) then soap and water.

let them fully dry, tape off the tires, and use either engine enamal, or straight up krylon even rustolium if you want.

thats the cheap route done right. but higher temp paint will hold up better, a clear coat would hurt for scratches. also just having a body shop or rim place do it is a good idea too, but you said you have no loot so....

good luck.

2 cans of black will do

O.K. money is always an issue, So you can clean them cheep by borrowing some detergent from Mom a freebie, a scotch bright from the kitchen sink that the sponge that Mom uses to clean dishes with or SOS pads, and hot water in a bucket. 2 cans of paint will get the job done on the outside of the 4 wheels probably some to spare but paint the outer rims first just in case you run low on pant.

Good luck man.

1 and a half can of paint would take care of the set... you just need to clean the rims out good... and put some bulldog adhesive spray... it will make your paint stick better and last longer...HTH
