If you go B20 with a turbo, I'm almost certain you'll have to sleeve it.

cylinder walls aren't very thick from what i understand.

anyways, if you want reliability, you should go with NA. if you want to go really really fast, go boost.

hehe, yeah they are weaker, not only for thickness, but also for construction.
but that does not mean in any way that you HAVE to sleeve for turbo. maybe if your making like 400whp.
if the engine is tuned right and driven the right way then you should have no problems

ok, maybe "have to' wasn't the right terminology

But, it seems as though it would be a good idea. I always thought the walls were weaker like you said, and usually have heard if you boost it, you might as well sleeve it to be safe.

its really a question of preference. I myself like allmotor , but turbo are also pretty dope as they freaking hawl *** in the top ends. but i like my power at all times something about linear power is just more for me.

The B16 seems to be a great option for street-driven turbo cars. They don't have as much torque down-low as B18s, B20s, etc., so you don't have to worry too much about wheelspin on launches from a dead stop. With a b16 motor you don't get peak HP until very high in the RPM which is another advantage because you will be going a higher MPH when you hit the most power and torque and you have get more traction. Then for the top-end, a nicely-sized turbo will do the job So you'd have a good amount of power, and driveability won't be too bad.

Just my 2cents

"b16a2
turbo
jun2 cams
jun springs retainers
and so on...... with or w/o 50shot????"

Stick with ITR cams, with springs and retainers for the turbo setup. Use the money for pistons[+rings], and rods. The stock sleeves should be fine if you're going to be running low boost. Or you could just go all out and build the block and run crazy amounts of boost. Also, get rid of the VAFC and get it really tuned [hondata, uberdata, crome.. something of this nature] by someone who knows what the hell they're doing. Don't spray.. you'll just blow it up even faster

B16A2 is a 99-00 civic Si USDM motor......if yours says B16A and its OBD-1 then you have a 2G JDM motor. If it is stamped B16A2....then sorry, its USDM.
