Default Cybernation Block Guard?

Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with this? I want to up the boost in my RSX but only have the cash for pistons and rods and so on. Darton sleeves are around $1500 and the block guard is around $400. Just wanted some info. Thanx

Every person I talked to about the K series block said that if you're staying below 400whp you wont have to sleeve or blockguard it. Pistons and rods though are a must. I chose to sleeve it because of my hp goals. If you choose to sleeve it, be prepared to wait...took me three months just to get them!

I know I sound a little biased here but I really would sleeve it because you know how it is. You are always going to want to go faster and if you already going to have the block apart to put pistons and rods in it then that would be the perfect time to send it to be sleeved. I'm sorry for any of you out there that waited and waited for your block to get finished from someone else. Here at ERL Performance, from the time your block gets to our door we will have your block finished in 5 to 7 buisness days and check with us on availability of blocks that we already have sleeved on the shelf that we could send to you right then and you would just have have a core charge until we would receive your core in exchange. Also the suggested retail price on all of our K series blocks are 1499.00 but you will find a much better price through one of our dealers and if you don't have a dealer near you then please call me (Sean)and I'll help you get one. I'm going to post another picture of our K series on our website today or tomorrow so check it out and give us a call.

blockguards can actually do harm -- they can choke coolant flow sometimes and cause your engine to overheat. So i don't recommend using one. But sleeving is a good thing.

I've heard the same thing about sleeving the block. Does anyone already have a block guard installed? Any problems? I plan on boosting 12-15 daily and 17-20 on high boost settings.

If you need blockguard,

buy from KMS - http://www.honda-performance.com/

Propably it is these same blockguard what Cybernation,

but price is much cheaper

I`m using KMS blockguard and I never had any coolant overheat engine problems,

I looked at their website, and didn't find a block guard for the K-Series?
