Default Any SOHC turbo or NOS accords here?

Afriend of mine has a 94 Accord and was asking what turbo would work good on a single cam....so I was wondering what your opinions are.

Well for our Accords it really just depends on what kind of times and usage your friend is looking at.

You can of course go w/ the typical t3/t4 which most other cars w/ many different engine types seem to go with. I happen to have a T3 which is perfect for my application(would be perfect but I'm Not putting this kit on my car, still for sale BTW) for a couple different reasons:

1)The T3 will still spool fairly quickly.
2)The T3 can sustain somewhat decent boost, more than I would ever use.

It really comes down to those questions, I mean you can be cool and get the t3/t4 hybrid just to say you have one, but if you're not going to use it to it's fullest capabilities then I feel you're just selling yourself short.

A T25 would also work fairly decent in a couple situations. If you are wanting the quickest spool, this is definitely the one you want. The only real downside is the fact that it really can't sustain higher boost levels(I Beleive anything over 7-9 and you need to think about upgrading).

These are just my opinions and my knowledge up to this point, everyone else feel free to addon or if I gave incorrect information please correct me.

Happy Holidays

t25 is waay to small for theat motor, i would look at a t4 or higher, you have some displacement and low compression to play with on that motor, just make sure you use motor mounts that do not permit excessive movement like the stock mounts do

i have (or Had, soon to be on again) an fmax kit on a f22b motor in a CL which is same motor as accord and was very happy for a month until i blew the motor but it was most likely my fault for lack of fuel and tunning

the key to any turbo system is tuning... this is the quintesential element in everyone's problems with turbos... so most turbos will work with the F22B1 quite well... it's just incumbent that you tune it... of course some turbos have more potential, but again, the key is tuning......

He wanted to run a turbo just for a little extra power.....but I heard rumors of head gaskets not lasting long. So as an alternative he was thinking NOS, not to use all the time just to have in case he needs it. How much of a shot would be enough on his motor? He has I/H/E........and 19" wheels(thats why I think he wants some more power). To each his own.

i got a 00 accord SOHC with an fmax kit, i would've gone for the DRAG kit coz it's better and more power and all, and fmax kit kinda gives me headaches
anyways, yes, my motor is fine, works well, aslong as u give that new motoroil every 2500 mi and stuf,f u'll be fine

I ran a 75 shot on my Accord motor for a little while. Most of the time it had a 65shot on it. It held up fine to both. I would stay safe and run a 5 or 65 though.
