Default NO CAT ON MY 99 GSR NEED 411

aight folks this is what i did to my car. i took out the cat converter. i knew that check engine light will go on. i heard if u get the 94-95obd1 p72 ecu the engine lite will turn off... is that true? one more thing, with my 99 gsr harness, will it plug derectly str8 to the 94ecu? o yeah do u lose power with the check engine light on ?

Secondly, I think you are a ***.
Third, if you take out the cat, regardless or not what ECU you have you'll get a check engine light. You might as well just take off the entire exhaust since you'll have a missing link anyways. You either need to buy a high flow cat, such as CarSound which is recommend anyways so we don't kill ourselves, or else a test pipe. you need an obd 2 to obd 1 converter harness for the ecu to work correctly

also, you must remove the other 02 sensor that used to go into the cat

no check engine light will come on then

Only thing I can say to this is....Don't get caught!!! Cops every once in a blue moon have a checkpoint for smog. They check your car you are one dead man!!! bad idea...go w/ a high flow

Get a high flow cat like Random or carsound. You won't have to change your ECU either.
