Default ***** Rear Brakes Question?

I recently had my rear brakes (New drums & New shoes) done and now I hear a low pitch wistle comming from my rear breaks. If any of you have heard a whistling tranny on a domestic muscle car, that's what it sonds like when I come to a stop. ITs a low pitch whistle

I don't hear it when I press the breaks while driving on the highway I just hear it when I come to a complete stop. Any one know how I could trouble shoot this? Or know what could be causing this.

My drums do it also but only when it feels like it or when a bunch of people are around so they can make fun of my car. I dunno what the deal is. I just live with it as long as they stop my car.

If they didn't put A little grease on the edge of the brake shoes or anyware else the metal from the brakes touch metal on th car.(Example would be were the shoes connect to the brake backing, or were the shoes fit into the wheel cylinder.

Of if they did a Shitty job of cleaning all the rust and dust from he components inside. That can cause harmonic vibrations that can only be heard at low speeds.

Pick up a can of brake cleaner, and pop off your drums & spray away. It helped on mine, but then a leaking wheel cylinder put an end to my cheap fixes...

P.S. I HATE DRUM BRAKES!!!!! (I always have the worst luck)

I forgot to lube the backs of my front pads when I did a brake job a few weeks ago. The noise is unreal when I come to a stop. It sure is funny turning heads though. After this hellish week at school, I'll probably have time to remedy the problem.
