weird problem with civic

Default weird problem with civic

whats up i got a 91 civic std with a new aleternator and betery so i left the cr to sit for a day and a half and i got to start it it make a little click but no start i mean the litght on the dash lights light up and stuff it just dont start could it be the cold ilde start ?????? any help plz

Soounds like your battery is no good. Turn on your head lights if there super dim its the bat.

if battery is new, I bet you have either a parasitic draw or a fucked starter, or a little of both. and maybe even some fucked up battery cables to go along with it.

visually check your battery cables.

test the battery.

then test for parasitic draw.

then test the starter by putting power directly to it when it is very cold.

then test for parasitic draw whats that supposed to mean buy the way i went to start it agin this morning and nothing the lights onthe dash like the brake lights and stuff are really dim I mean its not even attempting to turn over to start i just turn the key and nothiung att all happens

parasitic draw = a drain on the battery when the car is off.

so i think i have a drain on the battery somehow casue i wnet o start it this moring and nothing not even lights onthe dash completly dead so i jumped started it and started right up if i turn the car off after a while then put it one like 5 seconds later its fine

first charg ur battery and put a amp meter on your battery and see how much draw ur drain is you said it died in about 2 days, thats gota be a few amps. any way with the amp meter conected remove the fuses untill the draw goes to like &lt;.1 amp. that circiet is the fault circet.

and make sure to pull the dome light circuit first and leave it out or turn it off cause otherwise it'll keep on showing voltage cause your door's open.
