Weird Idle w/ new swap
THE CAR RUNS GOOD AND STRONG WHEN I AM DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, BUT MY OTHER PROBLEMS ARE I USE TO MUCH FUEL AND WHEN I START THE CAR IT IDLES AND 2000 AND DROPS TO 1900 RPM'S WHEN IT IS WARM AND JUST....THEN WHEN I DRIVE IT AND STOP AT A LIGHT THE IDLE JUMPS FROM 1800- 2500 THE WHOLE TIME SITTING AT THE LIGHT,.. AND INFO WILL BE HELP THANKS.
is there a site where i can get a vacuum diagram for a b16a2 motor,,, i found the b16a, but the vacuums are different thanks
definatly sounds like a vacum leak to me. my car use to do that, so one day i got bored and checked under the hood and surely enough one of my hoses was off on my intake manifold.
by "turn off your cap" he means turn off your caps-lock... i guess people just get annoyed/offended by capital letters... lol
anyways, if it's not a vacuum leak, it may be a bad sensor like TPS

you need to fix the problem instead of covering it up with an adjustable FPR.
you have a vacuum leak, look for open hoses comming off the intake manifold

ok one problem is fix i am not running rich anymore, no more blk smoke,,, i use to use like 20 dollars a day in gas, but my idle is still miss up,, when i start it up it goes to 4200 then drop to 1 and go to 3 from 1-3 all the time and will not stop,,,, the b16a2 motor doesn't have a FItv on it , i am using a p75 ecu, when i use a p13 or a gsr ecu when i start it up it only goes to 3, but does the same as the p75 goes from 1-3 all the time...
ok its not the iacv,, when i unplug the map sensor the car idles at 1800 rpms steady and burns mad gas, like 20 dollars a day,,,when i hook up the map i burn like 20 dollars a week, the car runs good, but idles at 1-3K rpms,
My friend, you are having the same exact problem i am ...and still is. Leave the map sensor on, it's the sensor that allows your car not to run rich. Did you change your manifold or anything? I changed my iacv with a working one from a friends car, and I had the problem still. Did you trying adjusting the tps map sensor? also, did you bore out your intake manifold or anything and be sure to clean it also. To clean the IAVC, use brake cleaner I believe, or was it carb..double check on that. I figured it was my bored out TB so Ill be changing it soon to see if that's the problem. If not, i think i might have to buy a new IAVC agian to be sure. Keep me updated
oh yea, the reason why it idles right when you remove the map sensor is because it doesn't know how much gas to give to the car, which causes it to feed alot of gas..idles better then pretty much floods it with too much and your car turns off :-) you can smellllllllllll the sucker huh lol

I had the same prob in 2 swaps... one was the IAC valve and the other was the idle speed control was too high [adjust the screw]
ok thanks i am going to clean it out this weekend and also, note that the whole motor is stock, its werd cause it came out of a 96 integra running very good.
the iacv is good, does anyone has a 99 si motor full scale picture that i can look at to get a idea and also does anyone has a 99b16a2 motor in a 93 hatch that i can look at the pics thanks.
.. You're using a P75 ( LS ) ECU on a B16... You should be running a P28, P30 or a P72. That could be your problem if you're actually running a p75.
