More info would be helpful...What is it idling at? Did you do any mods before the idling problem? Gen 2 Teg, right? What trim?

 

it has a b16, dc header, catback, cai thats all... it idles at 2000 if it is steady, other wise it fluctuates between 500 and 2000...

 

When is it steady? When does it fluctuate? All the time/sometimes?

 

what codes are you getting?? IACV could be bad...

we need more info n00b.. we cant read your mind..

Is this a swap? whats the background??

it fluctuates while it is warming up, if i drive it for a while then it wants to idle high at2000 rpms or so.. it is a swap and all vaccum lines seem to be connected i tried to adjust the idle screw but it didnt help.. if my iacv is bad how would i check it and where can i get a new one?

 

check the ECU for codes.. is that little light blinking? if so.. how many long and short blinks?

 

IACV and Fast Idle Valve are good suspects to check out. Check for codes like Chris said, too.
