energy suspension steering bushings
1990 honda civic no power steering
one big bushing( i know where that goes)
and 4 small ones. Does anyone know where they go?
no instructions with the kit.

the small ones replace the bushings that are around the pinion through which the bolts go to attach to the rear crossmember.

Well, if the rack it all the way out it's a piece of cake. They shouldn't take more than a flat-tip screw driver to get them out.

heated up the top part of the metal sleeve and they taped right out.

is it worth it to do these bushings? i mean how much difference could it possibly make? and is there a way to install these without completely taking the steering rack apart?

Like I said, the bottom two are easy to get to, as is the big circular bushing. It's the top two little ones that require a lot of work to free the steering rack. As for benefit, I don't know. Combined they were less than $5 and I did them when I had my front end apart.

worth it in every aspect, you feel more in tune with the car the steering response is great.
I tried to do them wit the rack still in the car. After about 10 min i gave up and pulled the rack. 15 min later i had the new bushings in.
