Power Steering?
I wanted to see if anyone had taken their power steering out of there accord preferably a 5th gen but most would work and would you reccomend or what are peoples experiences. Should i do it or not how hard is it to do?
pretty easy...but messy...
loosen the belt tension...slip the belt off...
unbolt the PS pump... unbolt the top line... be prepared for a ton of PS fluid... remove the hose bracket from the bottom...be prepared for more fluid....
plug the lines together if it's not a permanent thing and then remove the bracket...
and you're done...enjoy the little bit of extra power you now have...and the annoyance when going slow and turning...
IMO the A/C components add up to be much heavier than the PS system... the only heavy part of the PS is the pump...it couldn't weigh more than 10-12lbs...
Removing the A/C will save you a good 30-40lbs...

did it on my 4th gen when i swapped cause i didnt want to make new lines. the car turns fine and i never have any problems with steering or parking. yank it out like zigen said. my ex gf drove the thing without any problems either, so you gotta be pretty weak not to be able to drive it.
