my distributor cap shattered inside the unit. have since replaced cap, rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires. wasnt treating car too well, trying harder now. but new distributor cap did not help. car turns over and sounds like it is about to catch but doesnt. no spark. black strike box has plastic melted onto it. attempted to use OEM reader and seem to get decent reading from ignicion coil (ICM). but nothing changed. better to replace entire distributor or to replace icm or other parts? any other recommendations?
