I just sold my Integra and took over my wife's '00 Si.
The past week of driving it I've noticed an Annoying little squeak when the clutch is pushed in and let out.
I had a buddy work the clutch while I stuck my head in the engine bay and it sounds like it's coming from the front/inside of the Tranny.
What could it be?
The Clutch still grabs like it did when first purchased, but the squeak at stop lights is getting a little embarassing..
Any suggestions on how to stiffle it?
Thanks in advance

The clutch fork / throwout bearing needs to be lubed...nothing you can do. All my clutches have squeaked.

My old cx used to sound like a creaking spring when I pushed in the clutch pedal, and it still lasted me for well over 20k miles, I think you will be just fine.

Thanks,
I wasn't worried about the life left in the Clutch, I just wish the squeek would go away.

yeh mine does it too and it's the throwout bearing......crappy thing about mine is the tranny makes a squeaking noise when the cluth is disengaged and while driving
only way to shut it up is to drive with the cluth pedal slightly being touched.

Isn't there a way to adjust your clutch?

Me too. Mine's been doing it for about 50K now, sounds like a rusty spring. I only notice it usually when the car is off, so it doesn't bother me too much.

And this was what everyone said when I searched around for a solution. My girls brand new civic is starting to do the same thing.

No, because it's hydraulic.

Uhm, actually you can adjust it
There's an adjustment thing on the back of the clutch pedal. Can't miss it.

If it squeaks only when you push in and out, it is the ball on the slave cylinder that goes into the shift fork. Grease it up and it will go away, BUT IT WILL COME BACK. Its a common honda thing.
If it makes a sqealing type noise all the time when its in gear while your driving it is your throwout bearing.

I had the same squeek on my itr tranny. All I had to do was lube the ball where the clutch slave cyl meets the shift fork. I put a big glob of axle grease on it and it immediately went away. Takes less than 10 minutes. Just remove the two bolts holding the slave cyl to the tranny. Pull the black rubber boot. Throw grease on the shift fork socket that comes in contact with the slave cyl, reinstall. You are done.
