Default Cat heat shield

Hey one of the nuts broke on my cat heat shield, when i was installing a new one, and catback exhaust, and now it makes a TON of noise, and im wondering if it would do any dammage to anything if i jsut took the damn thing off?

my bolt just rusted off, and it rattled like a bitch around 1500-2000 rpm, we just ripped it off and its fine. it shouldnt do any damage to your car, the part of the heatshield that was rattling was on the upper side of the cat.

Everyone rips theirs off...does no harm.

Just dont park on dry grass on a hot day...might start a fire from all the heat.
