Default O2 Sensor problem?

I was driven my car and the check engine turns on. Sorprice, the code was 43, it means the gas supply, but when I pop the hood, I saw the wires of the O2 touching the headers, and one wire make short and burn my main relay and my ECU fuse. I try to repair the O2 wires, and the short was fixed, but the ligth of check engine come on again. My question is: Is possible that my O2 is damage and sending wrong information to my ECU and for that reason the 43 code como up? Or should I check the fuel pump? By the way Im using a SVAFC (for Vtec cars).

Mine used to be fine til I went down the road a few miles, I ended up having to change it because the O2 sensors are so SENSITIVE, I had problems with it again when I put a air/fuel gauge on it. I had to soder all the conections and It was fine.

Change the ecu. I dont think its sending the wrong signals to it.

But a Bad O2 can send wrong Info to the ECU and this can make that the Code 43 comes on??

Why you think this is a ECU problem?

Maybe because you are using 150cc injectors?

somebody passed trouble shooting school with flying colours didnt they?? hope you can sense the sarcasm.

first of all, dont chage the ecm. until u can completely eliminate any other problems. ecu's are expensive, and they r non returnable.

if code 43 is fuel supply, then plumb in and check your fuel pressure. if its no good then chances r your pump is on its way out.

i dont think the o2 wires shorted together would cause a fuel supply code?? but it is possible i suppose, if the ecu is reading just a really low resistance then it could give u an extremely lean condition. in which case, u need to replace the o2 sensor. the resistances can be very picky if the wires arent perfect. it might werk to repair them if u did it with proper solder. but if its with butt connectors, i cant see it workin right.

also, u might just need to reset everything once u repaired the o2 wires. so just undo the battery ground for a few mins. then try it again. and see if the code is still there. remember, follow the KISS principle when troubleshooting. (Keep It Simple Stupid) dont think like an engineer, and do the hardest, most expensive, and least likely thing first.
