Help installing shocks
Has anyone installed shocks/springs completely on their own with no help? How did you do it?
I remember when I did this a while back, I had trouble getting the forks back onto the LCA without help from someone pushing down on the LCA. For those who have done this completely on your own, how did you manage to get the things back on yourself?

Yeah ive done it on 2 cars, including my ITR. I vaguely remember just standing on the hub/rotor and reaching under to get the shock lined up into the LCA. Make sure you put the shock in and attach it loosely at the top of the strut tower first so you dont have to worry about holding it while lining it up with the LCA.

It has been a while since I did my swap but I had no trouble pushing them down. Perhaps you did not disconnect the anti-roll bars?

Yep, that's exactly what it sounds like he's fighting with. Either use the pry bar like someone already mentioned, or unbolt the sway bar.

Thanks.

Just remove the control arm...that is what I do on the rears. It takes an extra 2 minutes and makes everything SO much easier. When reinstalling, put the side that the fork goes on first, lining things up. Put the bolt in place but dont tighten. Now, connect the control arm back to its mounting point. It may take a little elbow grease to get things lined up but it does work. Then, tighten everything up.
