Default Converting obdII to obdI OR obdI to obdII

well i got a obdII car with a obdI engine it runs like **** and dont run nothing like it used to in my old car tha twas obdI.....My question is do you think it would run normal and as strong as it used to if i got everything for the conversion such as wiring harness, p28 ecu and get it chipped? how much would this all run me

what ecu did the old car have? what ecu does the new car have?

I dont even know to be honest the shop that put my jdm d15b in the 96 acted all shady about it and they didnt tell me anything....and its been nothing but a slow *** thing with lots of troubles

what this guy said^^, also including what kind of car you have might help us out a little bit. If your stuffing a D15b into a EK 4 door, then that might not have been the brightest idea. Oh and my friend had a D15b and it ran like garbage, now he is in the process of rebuilding it, so maybe its just the engine and not the fact that its been converted.

Hm. If you have an OBDI motor you need to be sure that your harness is converted correctly for that motor and OBDI, and you need an OBDII-&gt;I jumper.

whats that mean? an OBDII-OBDI jumper is merely plug and play, no extra wiring required. With a USDM engine, its even easier, if you have an OBDII engine, you just hook it up to your factory harness, and plug in an OBDI ecu.

Ive asked around here and theyve all told me that ill need a chipped p28 ecu and a wiring harness...can anyone tell me if this is true and what wiring harness do i need?........Also price wise?...and one last thing will this help my car not struggle and bog and vtec work and stop throwing codes cuz fucked up wiring?
