you need 96-98 to fit your car properly I beleive

no it won't. The shape of the bumper is different. The only way would be to do a full 99-00 conversion or a lot of chopping and such

Just use some industrial tape to hold that **** on it'll fit

No, it's a completley different shape.

If you want that look, then get those cheap aftermarket ABS versions. They make 99-00 looking Type R lips to fit 96-98. Or you can get JDM 96-98 CTR. It looks different and covers then entire bottom half of the bumper. Or you can go with OEM 96-98 front lips but those are hard to get. There is also the 96-98 JDM SIR lip.

just got back, no it won't fit, the lip is not wide enough,

a 99-00 is longer than a 96-98

What do you mean? The 96-98 has more of a boxy shape to it and the 99-00 front end has more of a curved shape. It's a fact. I've tried to put a 99-00 lip on my 97. It's not the same shape at all.
