Default Is this bad?

If I run some aftermarket shocks such as KYB AGX without new springs? So just running all stock parts except for KYB shocks? What would the ride be like? Improved handling?

i wouldnt say itll approve the handling since you are still using the OEM springs which are soft. youll just be able to adjust the stiffness/softness of the struts.

i would keep the shocks off until you buy new springs/coilovers. save time.

I need new shocks and it would be a long time before buying springs, if I even buy them. Will it be bad to go ahead and just get some quaility shocks while replacing them? Also, would it improve the handling of my car? Would you reccomend using the *****?

Thanks.

These people have no idea what they're talking about. KYB AGX's work best with stock height or mildly lowered springs. Of course they'll tighten up your handling because A.) they're all around good shocks and B.) you can tune them to your driving preferences. Want to negate some understeer? Put the rears to full stiff and the fronts to full soft.

This is a good decision and the shocks will last for a good long while.

Sweet, I figure 300 for the shocks and about 100 installation, is this a lot to drop into a 98 civic EX that I don't know the fate of? I mean, it's got 98k on a sohc and I have no money for a swap and no job, so would you keep it stock for a while? Shocks need to be changed within three months.
