Getting HIDS into 94-97 headlights. Need some help !
Looking to get HIDs for my 94-97 teg headlights... just wondering whats a good brand and the process of installing them without retrofiting.... ive been told you can buy the headlights themselves then u just need to add the ballast to crank it up...
can someone fill me in on how to install or a link to a tutorial or something
thanx

Take it from me who has had experience, HID in the stock halogen projectors really isn't much that better than a 9005 conversion as far as putting light down where you need it. Sure it's alot brighter right in front of the car, but that's not where you really need extra light. Is the extra light worth $300-$400 for a kit? IMHO it's not. $400 is MUCH better spent retrofitting in some OEM HID projectors.
Mercedes E-class bi-xenon projectors by Hella are a nearly perfect fit. Tony the Tiger first put them in his 94-97 headlights, and I later put them into my 98+ headlights. His website is like "Leung Homepage" or something like this, he has pics of his retrofit.
oh and mr. (^_^) dude up there needs to lay off the g4ngStA w4nGstA talk y0

Retro all the way. don't be lazy with rebased HIDs. If you just want plug and play, PIAA Extreme White 9005 with the tabs removed to fit in the projector housing are just as good, if not better, than the crappy HID kits with rebased bulbs.

Don't pay more than $150 for those projectors. I've seen them for less.
Yes you have to cut off the stock projector and enlarge the hole that's left over, but when I say nearly perfect fit I mean that you don't have to use any spacers or anything (like Skafia did w/ his A6's), the projector lens is the exact same diameter as stock, and is pretty much the same length as the stock projectors.
