Best gauges for all motor car.
Well, I am ordering my pillar gauges soon, and I am definitely going to get Oil pressure, and Air/Fuel, but I would like one more, to fill my 3 gauge pillar... Any suggestions? And no, I would not like to sell it and get a pillar setup for 2.

.....yes Austin, please post up any info on gauges you find!
I'm thinking oil press, oil temp, water temp, a/f, egt, and fuel press..... (3 pod pillar mount and 2 in the gauge cluster bezel)
And maybe one in the glovebox with the vafc...

As for the vafc - mount that or your field in the spare compartment under the stereo - so you can get to it! Ahhhhh - don't lock those pretty toys up in the glovebox
Good Luck -

Oil pressure and fuel pressure for sure.
A/F gauge is bunk. Get EGT.. but you gotta know how to read it.
I'm also installing a water temp gauge since the OE one sucks.
(Note: It's a PAIN in the *** to install the sender on the back of the block.)

I have the A/F and oil pressure on the a-pillar. Water temp and oil temp on the cluster bezel. I recommend Defi as you can daisy-chain the gauges allowing less wiring in between the gauges for easier installation.
Does anyone use warning lights? Like those red mini-shifter light looking ones?
Its nice to have oil pressure and fuel pressure gauges (I have an oil pressure one)...but whne youre racing...who sits there and stares at the gauges? I know I dont...so if I were to start losing oil pressure...I wouldnt know it until after the race or something started to knock.

Both DEFI and Apex-i have programmable warning lights (at least mine do - DEFI water temp - Apex-i Oil temp). Both have been very useful on the track

Here are the gauges that I am using. They are the 2" autometer ultra-lite series:
1) Oil Pressure
2) Oil temp
3) Vacuum
4) A/F meter
5) Voltmeter
6) Water Temp gauge
The first four are on the pillar in 2 dual gauge pods
and the other 2 are in the autometer gauge bezel, and i have my VAFC in the bezel, kinda blocking my teach and speedometer, but not by much. Man I wish I can post the pics, you people would love it.
