hey guy's i am about to join the boosted honda club but need some questions answered. i have found a used vortec sc with aftercooler and everything else. it has about 20k miles on it. is there anything i can look for to make sure it is good or bad? also how tuff is the install i plan on doing it myself? thanks in advance for any help.

Don't waste your money on a Vortech. I had one, didn't make **** for low end power, wasted tons of money on it. I sold it, went turbo. Go turbo, my car was so much more fun to drive with the turbo on rather than the vortech.

 

ok but i have looked at dyno graphs for both turbo and vsc. they are not all that different? the vsc will of course be lower but that is to be expected with an sc.
