some lady i know has a 91 lude with a blown motor and wants to swap it. ive noticed that the b20 from the 99-00 CRV is a more commonly sold motor than the one that comes in the 3rd gen ludes. my question is other than the OBDII ecu and additional sensors, how different are the engines? can the new b20 be mated to the old tranny? also can that tranny mate to any other B series motors ie B18c1? has anyone done or heard of swapping a different B series into a 3rd gen lude? ive called a few speedshops and no one knows much on the subject. so please help me out people!? thanx

 

hey man, look, i have an 89 prelude si 4 wheel steer and it had a blown motor when i got it. I relpaced the motor with a B20A5 which is what originally what came in it, it is a great motor. I got a motor with 110k on it for $177.50. definatly stay with the b20, that just my opinion, i have had good luck with b20a5's in the past.

 

no the crv b20 is not goting to drop in w/o a ton of $$$$ i tride to do it on my 90 si
the config is diffrent and it wont bolt up to the tranny ither the prob w/ 3rd gen ludes is w/o a complete swap and a ton of scrila what you got is what you sawp sry bud
