Default B20 question?????

my buddy just got a prelude, not sure what year, but i'm positive that it has a b20a. i've never come across this motor before and i just wanted to know more about it.

He's thinking about swapping it into a ef hatch, any information on what he might need for the swap would be really helpful. hp/tq, anyone with experience with the motor, reliability, you know basic info.

You aren't the first person to make this mistake. That B20 isn't the same as the B20 from the CRV. As a matter of fact, it's pretty crappy. Parts are not compatible and it's not a very powerful motor.

Nice try, but it's not what you're looking for.

some older preludes came with a b20 but its not the same as the crv b20 I think its closer to a f series I would say not to waste your time with it but someone may tell you otherwise

I am teh win. I believe you're right though, it is probably related to the F series. Not a performance motor for the most part, barring the F20C...

Yeah, it's really a bad motor and I don't think the mounts are the same as other stuff. Do yourself a favor and stop thinking about it. Just pretend it's an F20 and don't worry about putting it in another car.
