Default Modification of wheel bolt pattern

Heres the deal, I'm looking for a certain style of wheels but they aren't available in the bolt pattern I need. So, here is what I am thinking.

The wheel I want has a 4 x 4" bolt pattern, I need 4 x 100mm.

4" = 101.6mm... This is what I am thinking.

I get the 101.6mm bolt pattern, and I dremel the holes out just enough to where I can get a perfect fit onto the wheel studs. Will this work? Should I spend the money and have a machine shop do this? Or should I not even bother?

heh, i guess its safer than plug welding your oem hubs shut and re-drilling them, i still wouldn't recommend it. haha

I wouldn't do it. depending on the style of the wheel, it could be possible to drill new holes where there are none now, but I wouldn't try dremeling out the lug holes.

If you do it no tire place will EVER touch them. They will take one look at them and tell you to go F yourself. Trust me.

Not Centerline... the closest thing they have to 4x100 is 4x4"(101.6mm)
