tenzo-R harness
wsup everybody..i have a crx with tenzo-r 4 pt. harness. i do not know how to put them in.. i know i have to drill holes but i dont know where because i dont want to put it at a weak part of the frame. soo any help would be nice. thanks
4 point harnesses can be more dangerous than a regular 3 point. If you were to hit something, the movement of your body forward can pull the lap belt up under your rib cage, making a mess of your insides. You need a 5th strap to keep it down along your hips.
That having been said, when you mount a belt in your car, you need to put a large washer or mounting plate on at least the backside of whatever you're mounting through, otherwise the bolt and whatever dinky washer you have will pull through. I wouldn't use something less than 3" across, and made of steel.
Seat belts aren't some fashon item, planning and thought needs to go into their design, choice and installation. Be careful.

Uh, 90* would be straight down.
Anyway, most lap belts in a 5 or 6 point harness should be mounted a couple of inches behind your waist. However, in order to keep a 4 point from riding up on you I would suggest that you mount them directly in line with your waist to pull them as far straight down as possible. This means that you won't be able to use the OEM belt holes unless you ride with your seat WAY back. So drill an eye-bolt into the floor on the outside and into the exhaust tunnel or floor on the inner side. Besure to use a 2x2x1/8th backing plate a least, and double nut. Wrap the shoulder belts around your roll bar or cage's harness bar and forget about the proper angle stuff. The harness bar is already at the proper height for a safe angle (should be between 0 and 30* from your shoulder depending on the angle of your seat).

90* is straight down. 0* is straight back.
