i am looking into this "sc61"
the person sent me pics of it, and it looks to be the precision sc61 E housing .60A/R but on the exhaust side, the housing says garrett on it. he said he had it for his custom application for a 4 bolt DP. input is NEEDED before i go ahead and buy this. if its NOT a precision please tell me. i asked about this and he said it was a custom turbo..anyone want to call bs? please let me know, i searched and found nothing about garrett housings on precision turbos. thanks alot

well the pics dont work, but you can get a sc61 with a 4bolt housing so yes it could be a sc61 from what you are telling us

 

but a garrett housing on a precision turbo? *smells fish*

 

Precision doesnt make four bolt housings. When someone requests a four bolt housing they use Garrett housings.

 

Just have them show you their Precision warranty card with half the serial number and the full part number along with the scribing on the compressor outlet.

more than likely its an sc61...

 

I have an SC50 with an AiResearch (made by Garrett) 4-bolt housing. I was a little fishy about it because mine didn't have the scribing on the compressor housing, but the seller is a reputable person so I'm not too worried about it.

 

Get the pics up, Precision on their compressor housings have the fitting for a boost signal on there. Also Art sells Precision and has sold some with 4 bolt housings when requested. Precision turbos=Garrett turbos with Precision housings they make, CHRA=Garrett. Or variations of them . Art correct me if I am wroing on anything bro!
