is it possible to take off some offset off of wheels?
i got the speedmasters and they have a +38 offset..... im about to get coilovers and im really afraid i will have alot of rubbing issues so my question is...... is it possible to machine off about 4mm off the inside of the center of the wheel to bring it in some or will that greatly decrease the strength of the center of the wheel? just kinda curious....... if this isnt possible guess i will just roll and pull slightly

A decent machine shop should be able to help you out. I'd throw it onto a milling machine and use a flycutter. Setup should be pretty simple too. Bit you're gonna have to take off the tires.
Wont it also be cutting more in towards the lug seats, so the space between the lug seat and the hub is thus reduced? I have these same wheels though, the SM-058s.

if the wheel sheers off then you will know.

This is true so the hub will be weaker, hard to tell how much you can mill off and still be safe.

Naw.. that hub is pretty beefy. I wouldn't think twice about milling up to 5mm off.
Pro tip: If you have closed ended lug nuts make sure they don't bottom on the studs.

WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY easier solution, don't go that low.
I run +32 offset, and don't have a problem. As long as your not trying to tuck tire and what not you will be fine. +38 isn't that bad.

I have a set of wheels that I had machined 5 years ago and they are still fine. Make sure there is enough material and that the machine shop has a good mill that will hold your wheels square. I have raced w2w many times and they are still straight but I check for cracks every time they are off the car.
