Is installing headers as hard as it looks on my 02 si ?
If anyone can tell me how their header installation went I would appreciate it.
Headers have always been one of my favorite mods. It was sooooo easy on my '97 GSR, but my new si looks otherwise. It looks so difficult I have contemplated not even putting headers on. Please share advice. especially those who have installed DC ceramics.
a small explanation on where to begin would help too. Start at the cat or the engine?
Thanks

Start from top. take off heat shiled, held by 12mm bolts.
There are 4 of them.
Then finish taking bolts off from cat .
It's not hard to do.
Can be done with simple tools.
Jack stands, Jack, Wrench sockets, Torque wrench, swival.

Its not bad, but a few tips to help.
1. Take the hearshield off the night before you plan to do the install and soak all fasteners with some good penetrating oil. Particularly the bolts that connect the header to the cat, and the bolts that connect the header to a bracket on the frame. I snapped three of these four bolts when taking my stock header off my 02.
2. Borrow, buy, rent or steal a flex head ratchet, and or some wobble sockets. It is a little awkward to get to some of the bolts on the block.
3. A breaker bar is nice, but not necessary.

Should be k-series.com. And they have a bunch of good writeups.
The header was one of the easier installs on my Si. (O2 sensors/extensions are another story).
