Default Quick Question from a newbie to the revelation called HONDA

Hey, My windsheild wipers decided to stop working, such is life though. My freinds dad ( mechanic) says that the windshield wiper motors are powering up fine, but the windshield wipers Don't move at all, on any setting. nothing. bull.

Has anyone been in this same situation before and knows how to fix it, please speak now or watch me drive around without them running, it sucks. Please help
in any way possible

A genuine newb to cars.

do they make any noise when you turn them on? if not then obviously they are not powering up, if they do make noise maybe the linkage is caught on something? I dunno i need more info

That happened to my passenger side one time. It turns out the bolt holding the arm to the little peg(I don't know the technical terms) was loose. Like mentioned before, if they make noise when you turn them on, check to see if the bolts are tight. If not, then this "mechanic" is wrong.
