i hope you realize that an overheating car will do bad things to the motor...it can do anything from warping the head, to ******* up piston rings from the heat...you are sure that you have enough coolant in the motor at all times? if not, you have a leak...if so, make sure your water pump is working...fans won't cause your car to overheat drastically, but if they aren't working they will cause a slight increase in temperature...
i do relize it can mess up my motor ive tried everything that i can think of from chngeing the water pump to draining the radiatior nd filling it back up and bleeding it .. could it be that i dont have a h22a fans and a radiator should i try changeing those???
You probably have low coolant flow through the radiator (If that's the case, you will need to replace it. Modine makes a great all aluminum replacement), a fan either not running at all or operating below spec, or a malfunctioning water pump. A leak will not cause your car to overheat unless you run low on fluid.
These are all possibilities for a car that overheats when at a stop.

As far as your power not being there, if you're driving the car while it's overheating, you may have done some irreversible damage. I would recommend fixing the problem first, then worrying about the power.
Do a compression test so you know what condition you're in. Make sure the you have no codes flagged, check your fuel pressure, and consider a cap/rotor/plug swap using all factory honda parts (since it's cheap).
Good luck.

i have an h22 in my 4th gen and i had the same issues. somewhat. i replaced the tstat to a lower temp one, 174 i think, and replaced the termo sensor A. there are a few posts by katyhonda about that sensor. that fixed my problem.

fans coming on late are a sign of thermo problems, are u using an oem thermostat or a cheapo autozone one or the like, there was a test and the autozone ones would either open late or not at all, the switch for the fans is after the thermostat which means if its closed, fans dont know the temp of the coolant coming out of the engine which means they dont know its getting too hot, i had the same problem, if the fans dont turn on right at about 1/3 up from cold, then its something with the thermostat
