Default Will this turbo work?

I have a 5th gen prelude and i am goin to boost it. I got from a friend a air research T3. I am only going to push 6-7 pds on it. Some people tell me that for that amount its a good turbo and there are other who tell me that my engine will choke on it. I believe it was from a 300zx. Will it work ?

that is a very small turbo for an h22... i would try and find something a little bigger because i think your powerband would die off at like 4-5k due to how small that turbo is...

T3/T4, i also dont want to hack away at anything though i have a tubular manifold and I dont think the bigger turbo will clear it...

If its off a 300zx, i doubt it will bolt directly to any prefab h22 turbo manifold........ also, that turbo is quite small, not a t3t4, if its off a 300zx........ they had considerably smaller turbos, being that they had 2 of them..... u can get a decent 57trim t3t4 for 300 bucks new, 400 for an E

I have the manifold already it matches the compresor, also it is 48 a/r. I just dont understand how a DSM runs a T-25 and that is smaller then that.

well, a t25 runs out of gas at about 5500-6000.......that turbo is too small. you need a t3/t04e.........or you could do it right and get a precision SC61 like me!!!

if you don't do it right on an h22..........its not gonna last long.
if you do it right on an h22............it still might not last long.

but, you never know.

i have a t3/t04e and its close but it fits... get a t3/t4 or sc61... you will be dissapointed with just a t3 on a 5th gen lude...

t3/t4e is not too big for 7psi. yea, i did have to cut about 30% of the motor mount off, but only cause that's where the SFP manifold placed the turbo. plan on having to modify stuff unless you buy a turbo kit, and even then you may have to. turbos weren't meant to go on the prelude, so you have to make it go. don't go into this thinking it's gonna go on over night. it took me 5 weeks of working about 2 days a week and at least 10-15 hours on each of those days to get everything to work together. it was my first time modifying to this extent, but unless you buy a kit, get ready for some REAL work. i hope you don't mind cutting **** up too.
