HELP PLEASE CAR boggin, shaking and stall OUT . what could be the problem
hey alright well my car has beein workin great for a while and today i cleaned my engine bay: I covered everyting up (battery, fuse, distributor, and alternator) with seran rap, and bags and ****). Sprayed it with degreaser then hosed it down. and tonigh i started it up and i knew something was up. It reved to about 550,and begged to stall!! i was confused, but it seemed ok (no engine lights) so i drove the the gas statoin (i had VERY LITTLE gasoline, if this has anytin got do with the problem). On my way, the CAr bogged out, when i tried to accelerate, and didn't know what was up so Pulled over and checkd out my engine, chekd the wires and anyting that was out of the ordinary (oil, or noises?).. and found nothing.... Turned off, then restarted and it appeared to be OK. About 500 feet from the gas station, i went to accelerate a little bit and the car Stalled out, and I lost PS ( thankfully my bro told me that i had lost it, or i would have end up in the curb) I pulled into the station and popped the hood again, just to check ****... NOTHING!!! I filled her up, and it appeared to be working ONCE again, but i was wrong. On my way out it Bogged again, and it through a CEL. This problem led me to believe that it had something to do with my wiring in my VAFC. Possibly my bro, or someone else hit the ecu floor board and put stress on a wire. So i took of my floor board (i didn't put screws in it anyways ) and messed around with a few wires, checkin to see if any were loose and what not.. AFter that , started her up and it worked fine the whole way home... even tho i kept it under 3k the whole time
LOOK at bottom for updates

I have too say that your car could be fine. If it made it home afterward maybe you just got a little water somewhere. Before you go anywhere let it run for a while (10-15 min) and drive around the block a few times. If no problems pop up take it to work and back. You can change your plugs ASAP if you think that is the problem, but the water is my first thought. If you are runing external coil check it and make sure its not cracked or nothing, and if you are interal check the cap and rotor out.
Good Luck

If you tend to let your tank get real low before you fill it, your fuel pump may be worn out. More gas in the tank helps keep it cool. The boggin down may be it overheating on you, then dying. After sitting for a while it cools down, then can run for a bit until it overheats again. I know this is unrelated to the other possibilites discussed, but it is a possibility.
where is the fuel pump located, so i can check to see.. (dont really know how to diagnose it)
but all the help will be apreciated...]
u think its ok to drive?
Cause i can JUst put the car into neutral ritght after it has problems... For like 3 seconds, then accelerate and its fine...
It usaully only happnes 1 or2 times for each trip <10 miles

I doubt it's your fuel pump.
Did you gap the spark plugs?
Who wired the vafc?
I know you said you seran wrapped the dist., but maybe you
should take the cap off just to take a look and make sure no
moisture got in there.
Do you have an external coil?
Did you seran wrap that?
Maybe pull the wire on the coil and make sure there is no
moisture in there.
Just a few suggestions for you. Good Luck

I agree... look for NGK's...
I had a similar bogging problem with my car, it ended up being the EGR valve that stayed open and when the car would be at idle it would shoot excess exhaust gasses in when it shouldnt have, and it caused it to idle very low, sometimes even stall..
So that COULD be a possibility
Good luck dude!

fabricate a block off plate. get a sheet of steel, and some tin snips or a band saw. pull the EGR off, trace the bottom of it onto the steel, then cut it out. dont forget to mark where the holes go. then just put that down, then bolt the egr ontop of it and plug it back in so you dont throw a code, problem solved.
alright.. is this something i could do at my house? or take it to a place??
are they're any gains from this?
advantages?

lol yea its going to save you from having to replace the damn thing. If you dont have to worry about emissions block it off or get a diff manifold. If you live in some **** state then replace it and take the price right in the pooper.
do you kno of any place that sells one.. becuase im not sur eif i have the skill/tools/ parts for it
