removing o2 sensor

Default removing o2 sensor

does anybody know how can i remove the o2 on the 99 si. im odb1 now with hondata and cant seem to find a way to take the o2 out.

How to unscrew it off the cat/header?


In obd1 the primary O2 sensor is still used

its already off the cat but its hangging off of the car and i dont see anywhere that i can i unplug it.

do you mean, its hanging from a firewall? thats how it was in my gsr. i unplugged my secondary o2 from the cat and then had to unplug it from inside the car behind the headunit console. hope this helps.

If its really hard to remove I would just zip tie it to something out of the way.

On the SOHC OBDII motors it plugs in right by where the tranny mates to the block on the front of the engine right by the thermostat.

How about the front O2 sensor in the manifold ? Mines seems to be recessed thru the manifold heat plate. Do you need a special recessed wrench or do you have to unbolt the manifold cover ....the unscrew ?

Should be a couple bolts to remove the manifold cover, then you can get it off with an 02 sensor wrench.

if its the 2nd o2 on the cat maybe the plug is inside the cabin in front of the shifter
