4th gen power window switch auto doesnt work is it the switch
I'm having the same problem with mine. I took it apart and ispected everything. When I put it back together it worked right for a few days then stopped working again. It looks to me like the solenoid isn't working properly. It is as if the solenoid already thinks the window is all the way down when you use the auto so it immediately stops. Very annoying. Anyone know were to get a new solenoid for it?
might also be a sign of your window motor going bad. does the window roll up and down every time or just sometimes?
ive read that that means the motor for the window is bad but i just want to believe it. i think its the switch cause like i said if i push it dwn and sideways sometimes it works anyone know where to gat a switch i will try ebay
It did the same on my car, and I replaced the switch assy and it works fine... I got it at a junkyard for 60 bucks

My bad, I thought we were only talking about the "auto down" function. This is the only problem I'm having. Upon reflection though, when taking apart the switch the contacts looked pretty fragile. I could potentially see the window not working b/c of the switch based on the contacts. It is very easy to pull apart though and test it.
