WHAT DOES IT MEAN IF YOUR NON-VTEC SOHC MOTOR IDLES AT 1500???

Default WHAT DOES IT MEAN IF YOUR NON-VTEC SOHC MOTOR IDLES AT 1500???

I'm selling my b16 and getting this kids d15 but he says it runs fine except for that it idles at 1500 all the time...whats wrong and is it easy to fix??

thottle probably just needs to be adjusted

lowball him and tell the motor is bad cuz it idles high, then fix the throttle

turn the idle control screw on the throttle body until it idles right

actualy i am, complete d15b for 1450 installed. does'nt get any better.

That's what I was thinking. Don't mess with the idle screw until you figure out if anything else is wrong first. It could be IACV, vac leak etc. You should almost never have to touch the idle screw; that's just putting a band-aid on the real problem.

Or, it could be the idle wasen't adjusted in the first place.
