we've blown a few at our shop, but only in high power spl vehicles. the L7 is a very good speaker. it is very loud (2 12's in a ported box can easily get low 150's), and you can still make it sound good (you have to be good with an eq, but it can be done)

hey M&M, what does it sound like when its blown? does it have a rattle/cracking noise or does it sound like usual blown round sub? im really having a problem trying to figure out why one of my subs are making that noise.

P.S. i have 2 12" L7's in a sealed box and an 1600w Orion powering them.

Thanks

yes, an L7 will sound like any other blown speaker if it is actually blown. if you hear a "rattle/cracking noise" it could possibly be blown, or it could be that something is loose or broken(tinsel leads, terminals, surround, etc.) also, check the sub box, make sure it is soild and not resonating)
